About A Time to Dance

Josephine Lopez will conduct most classes in ballroom dance styles such as cha-cha, rumba swing, bolero, mambo, waltz, tango, foxtrot, Viennese Waltz and quickstep. Additional classes in specific club dances (e.g. Salsa, Hustle, Argentine Tango, Merengue, West Coast Swing, Bachata, Night Club Two-Step) and social dances (Hip Hop, Breaking) will be taught by qualified instructors hired as independent contractors.

 

Dance practice sessions, dance parties, field events and performances will recruit and employ volunteers to assist in logistics and oversight of activities.

 

A licensed security company will be hired to provide security at all parties and performances.

 

Transportation to and from classes may be provided by licensed independent contractors.

A Time to Dance is operated by a group of experienced dance instructors and business managers who love kids and are committed to improving their lives and saving their future.

Our History

A Time to Dance was formed in 2015 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. It was born from the the inspiration of Josephine Lopez. Josephine is an established an experienced ballroom dance teacher and professional, and had been working with children through her association with Good News Clubs of Southern Nevada and local churches. She saw the need to expand underprivileged kids lives through the joy, discipline and social attributes of dancing. A Time to Dance strives to improve the lives of children through the discipline and diversion of dance.
